INDIVIDUAL and SMALL GROUP TUTORING: We offer individualized one-to-one Tutoring or small group Tutoring. Our Tutors utilize various tools in order to fill in educational gaps or academic weaknesses in all subject areas.
Our goal is for all our children to succeed. We believe that if we build their self-confidence thru positive reinforcement, teach them how to enjoy the learning process and give them strategies on "how to study", we can achieve this goal. We encourage our children to think creatively, to ask questions freely and to get the answers they need which may have not been fully addressed in a larger classroom setting.
HOMEWORK CLUB: Our convenient Homework Club provides Homework/Project Help in a small group environment. At our beautiful Center, our Tutors will assist students with their daily Homework or Projects from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. each day. This will enable children to enjoy quality family time when they get home!
SMART BOARD: At the Miami Beach Center, we have the amazing interactive SMART BOARD so that our students are able to learn faster as we stimulate their auditory, visual and kinesthetic abilities. The SMART Board enables children to use their finger as a computer mouse in order to navigate, search, write, create and explore thousands of educational websites. This wonderful resource certainly enhances every child's education!
SPRING AND SUMMER PROGRAMS: Since we feel all children should use their time wisely while they're not in school, we have programs designed to review academics during Spring Break. We also offer a 10-week Summer Program which includes fun, interactive academic reviews as well as exciting Field Trips!
ACADEMIC ASSESSMENTS: One-to-one Tutoring Programs at the Learning Link may commence with a Woodcock-Johnson Academic Assessment or personal evaluation in order to assess the student's strengths and weaknesses in the areas of Reading, Math and Writing. After reviewing the results, an individualized report is generated and the results identify the child's academic needs. Our Tutors will work individually with each child in order to help them with areas of deficit. A team of licensed school Psychologists is also available to provide full-scale psycho-educational assessments to children if and when there is a need for a more clinical diagnosis.
